Celestial Drift reimagines terrazzo beyond its architectural origins, transforming a traditionally grounded material into a suspended sculptural light. A series of terrazzo discs float around a warm light source, creating a delicate interplay of solid and void, illumination and shadow. Gently responding to air and gravity, the composition remains subtly in motion, making each encounter unique. By revealing terrazzo in a new context, the work celebrates balance, lightness, and quiet transformation, inviting moments of contemplation while bringing sculptural elegance and warmth into everyday spaces.

Shí (also known as Miss Terrazzo) is the creative force behind Shi Terrazzo Atelier, a workshop studio located in GMBB. Specializing in the art of terrazzo craftsmanship, Shí explores the possibilities of terrazzo beyond its traditional role as building components. Through playful forms, vibrant colors, and experimental processes, Shí reimagines terrazzo as both functional object and expressive medium. Her work invites viewers to see this familiar material in unexpected, contemporary ways.
