The Wu-Jian ’C collection, inspired by the Introverse House, redefines architecture through minimalist designer chairs. Created by architect Chun Hooi TAN and builder Seong CHIN, the collection transforms polished concrete—a key material from the house—into sculpted seats with chamfered edges, paired with bronze-plated stainless steel frames for contrast and elegance. Featuring four variations—‘Jing,’ ‘Wei,’ ‘Shan,’ and ‘Ming’—the chairs blend modern industrial design with East Asian heritage, embodying the harmony of form, function, and architectural storytelling.

 

Designer

Chun Hooi Tan, an architect specializing in spatial design, merges architecture with human-centered creativity. Inspired by his acclaimed Introverse House, he designed the Wu-Jian ’C collection, transforming architectural elements into minimalist chairs. Featuring polished concrete seats and bronze-plated steel frames, the chairs balance weight and elegance, blending industrial modernity with East Asian heritage. Chun’s designs reflect his commitment to crafting on a human scale, addressing social and cultural themes through functional, meaningful objects.
